2010 Arrowfield Stud Blue Diamond Prelude Fillies Final Field And Preview

Saturday’s 2010 Blue Diamond Prelude for fillies has its final field and barrier draw done-and-dusted revealing an exciting line-up.

There are ten fillies making the start at the beautiful Caulfield Racecourse in Melbourne ranging in experience.

Taking the inside barrier is Peter Snowden’s youngster Malbun, the inexperienced two-year-old recently won her trial coming in front of Tequila Queen. Taking the outside barrier is another two-year-old, Leon Corsten’s Not Quite who also won her recent trial.

Currently at $15, according to Sportsbet, for the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes in two weeks time is Sweet Cheeks. The two-year-old recently won the Group 3 Maribyrnong Plate (1000m) and will certainly be one to watch in the lead up to the coveted Stakes.

She’s Got Gears is close behind in the odds for the Group 1 race at $17. The filly, trained by Robbie Laing, drew the sixth barrier and is heading into Saturday’s event having come back from a recent injury.

The 2010 Blue Diamond Prelude for fillies will be the fourth race of the day at Caulfield, with nine taking place altogether producing a thrilling race day. Also being held is the colts and geldings equivalent.
